A woman just called me and offered me stimulus money to make my house energy efficient. This is no small offer. She offered up to $5000. I let her go through her whole script about the "Federal Govt Stimulus". Then I asked her where the money came from......

She said,"Well it came from the govt." Me: So where did they get it? Her: Well, it's from Obama because people are behind on their electric bills and he wants to help. No I did not ask her if Obama could lay golden eggs (but I really wa...nted to). Me: Did the govt create this money? Her: It's the govt's money. (If she had said yes they created it we would've gone down a different path and I would've cut her some slack). Me: Ok. Where did they get it? Silence....... Me: ma'am that money comes from taxpayers. Her" No no, that money comes from the govt. Me: Well, I'm not taking money from the govt. It's not their place to be taking money from everyone to give to a few. Her: But you are entitled to that money. Me: No, I am not and I will not take it.

 

I just LOVE it when she does this stuff!!!
