Before I comment on what's been pirated, first I would like to mention that Lady Joyce McCool is having surgery today, shortly after noon, Eastern Standard Time.
I'm praying, as are many others, that when the procedure is complete, she'll be cancer free, and will have no complications with her recovery. Joyce was diagnosed with breast cancer a short time ago, but her faith is strong, and her attitude is positive. If you pray, remembering her in your prayers today will be appreciated by many.
Joyce and her husband, Bishop Spencer K. McCool lost their son, Cory, to cancer only a few years ago. So, this isn't the first time the McCool family has faced this beast, and suffered the fall-out that cancer causes. The McCools are one family that reflects many families facing a challenge none of them chose or wanted. The Bishop has promised to keep his family, friends and readers informed of when surgery is over, and the outcome via his facebook page.
DFW got hammered yesterday with storms. However, my neighborhood got missed. The tornado alert air horns were going off all over the place, but we ended up with only dark skies and rain. No high winds. No hail. Just dark skies and some rain.
Other areas near here didn't fare so well. Truck trailers were flattened, or tossed into the air like Tonka toys.
The last count I heard, via radio broadcast a few moments ago, was that 600 homes were demolished in the terriffic winds from multiple twisters in our area.
My mobile stayed in a constant ring with calls and messages from concerned friends and family. For those checking on us here, thank you so much for caring and praying. I appreciate it more than I can say.
Regarding today's post title, "Pirated!", that's exactly what happened to me, and several colleagues who are writers on Hubpages. Many of us had content stolen and posted as someone elses work, on a website called BigEzine.com. It didn't seem to matter to the "expert writers" on BigEzine that the work they pirated had a copyright, prohibiting it from being reproduced, and even if it didn't plagiarism is a low and foul thing to occur in the writers' world, and has left many of us angry over the incidents.
Not all, but definitely many, writers work hard at what they do. Most of us don't simply churn out content every few moments. We actually work at it to make it look good and be accurate and interesting for our readers. We strive to maintain a standard of excellence in our work, and it is infuritating when someone takes it from us, and claims the credit for writing it.
The content stolen from me was a recent review of Christian novelist, Frank Peretti's new release, Illusion. It wasn't just a review, it was a very personal one due to the history of my introduction to Mr. Peretti's work.
The "expert writer" who swiped my work and claimed it as his own, didn't even bother to remove my name from it as the author. He (or she) simply copied and pasted the entire article onto his page on BigEzine. Quite bold of him, and totally without class and integrity.
Several of us who had content stolen and re-published on BigEzine.com are taking action and filing complaints to get the problem resolved and our work taken off their site. But, it's a problem we never should have had to contend with in the first place.
Content pirates fall into the same class as cattle rustlers, and should be dealt with accordingly.
That's it for this one! Thanks for the read!
Until next time, God bless you, be safe, and don't forget to thank a Veteran at your next opportunity!

While looking for you plagiarized work over at that pathetic excuse for a blog site with all their "expert" Authors to leave a hatchet job of a comment about their professionalism & journalistic integrity I came first came across a pirated/plagiarized post from the
Breakfastpop blog here on Hubpages amde by one Issac Braun, alleged Expert Author.
I thought you would get some solace and satisfaction from my comments to him. I doubt they will remain up long but I did try posting them anyway...
"WOW! an "EXPERT" Author who sees nothing wrong with re-posting copyrighted by the original author material sans benefit of their permission and without informing them! How Junior High term paper-ish of you!
Apparently you have not read the definition of Plagiarism or the US Copyright laws before donning that moniker of "EXPERT" or is that a self profession? "
Whoops I went back and wound up writing more!
"Pirate mining another blog site is proof of 3 things IMHO, a total lack of ANY journalistic integrity as well the fact that you sir apparently never had an original idea or have drawn any conclusions of your own in your life. Third you are obviously one of those entitlement minded Occupy type people who believe you have the right to live off the hard work and success of others.
Shame sir, I say Shame upon you for such blatant disrespect of others and your (and I use the term in the loosest and broadest possible sense) journalistic craft. At least be honest and change your title to Expert Pirate of Other People Blogs & Hard Work!
Lethal,
Thank you soooo much for your consideration and action!!!
Thank you also for alerting that Breakfast Pop's content has been pirated as well.
B'Pop's writing style is unique, and would be a challenge to pass of as anyone elses. However, it's obvious someone, or someones are lacking enough in intelligence to try it anyway.
I'm agreeing with your surmising of the type of people responsible for this.
Socialists who feel they should be given the privileges and fruits of other peoples' labor.

I have attempted to inform Breakfastpop and provided Pop with a copy of my remarks to Issac Braun. I finally located your post and will be making the same hatchet job attack on the posting as well though I suspect neither will be approved and it is at best and exercise in futility that will only serve as notice that their action have not gone UN-noticed.
I freely give you permission to repost my comments where and how you see fit with regard to this issue should yopu think others will benefit from reading them or find satisfaction in them.
Lethal,
You are a GEM!!
I left a comment as well on the plagiarized article last night, and also contacted BigEzine with a complaint.
So far, I've heard nothing from them and am doubtful that my comment will be posted to the article.
Should you desire I will undertake to do a little pro-bono work on your behalf and see if I can determine the information behind who hosts the blogs servers so they can be petitioned to shut the servers down for plagiarism and piracy.
Also I think you should report this to Hubpages as well.

Lethal,
Whatever you have a mind to do, you're far more qualified at doing it than I am. And, I'm sure the other writers from the Hub who've had their material stolen will be appreciative of your effort and insight.
The Hub that alerted me to the pirating was written and published by Hubnel Meer.
The link to his article is: http://hunbbel-meer.hubpages.com/hub/Our-Hubs-Got-Stolen-BigEzinecom-The-Biggest-Plagiarist
Hope that helps to add information you might need.

Lethal,
Lol! Seems we were posting at the same time, and somehow, mine got posted twice.

DEATH TO BLOG PIRATES!"
Here is my post on the aforementioned by both of us blog.
Permission is hereby granted to reprint/publish this material as you see fit in regard to helping others stop these New Deli Pirates. Would I that the US Marines could only land on their dishtowel diaper wrapped asses and stomp some respect into their similarly wrapped heads!

Alright, lets try this AGAIN (for the third damned time!)
Would that the Marines could drop boots first onto these towel headed dish rag for a diaper wearing cow kissing bath in an open sewer and swear its a holy river as the effluent floats by pirates and stomp so respect into their heads!

DEATH TO BLOG PIRATES!
Sadly I must report no responses to my attempts to warn and advise Breakfastpop of the theft of his intellectual property.
Ah well, at least I attempted the right and honorable thing. Can't force my will on people my name isn't Obama and other than the 2 Pirates in New Delhi I'm not at war with anyone I've offered the advice to.
Humm...wonder if we could take up a collection among the pirate victims and get me a ticket to go 'splain it to them in painful detail?
Lethal,
With the help of the contact information you provided, I was able to file a complaint with the DMCA, via Dody Lira.
I haven't received a reply yet, but others who filed said their content was subsequently removed from BigEzine.
I'll keep you posted whether they oblige me and remove mine as well.
